Welcome!
On November 4, 2008, Massachusetts voters will have the chance to pass a ballot initiative decriminalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana — removing the threat of jail time for possessing an ounce or less of marijuana for personal use. This initiative would save the commonwealth millions of dollars in law enforcement resources each year.
On May 7, CSMP began the second stage of the signature drive, which required another 11,099 valid signatures from residents of the commonwealth. And prior to the June 18 deadline for this second stage, we turned in over 20,000 raw signatures — well beyond the total needed to qualify for the ballot. Please sign up to receive CSMP alerts to stay updated on the progress of this historic effort to bring justice and common sense to our marijuana laws.
Thank you to all the CSMP volunteers, petitioners, and supporters who have worked to successfully bring us to this point. With your continued support, we will be able to mount the most robust campaign possible and make history this November!
